The IDF Intentionally Destroys Religious Jews
Question: Can you say something else about what you just said, that how many religious boys (in the Israeli army) have given up being religious, is that because they're sick of the religion or they're sick of the everything?
Rabbi Chananya Weissman:
No, it's because they are forced to violate Shabbos. There's a pamphlet. I mentioned this last time. There's a pamphlet here, I want to share this more in detail, maybe in one of my emails. I scanned the whole thing. It talks about what the soldiers are subject to in the IDF. Hazing rituals, forced to violate Shabbos. They are treated abusively by their commanders, even if they're in the so-called religious units, the people who really give the orders just do whatever they want with them. They force them to violate Judaism. They are so abusive to them that many of them at some point they just give up. And also, the temptation. They are surrounded by pretty Jewish girls in uniform that are not religious and they’re in a stressful situation, so they do what people do. And the secular, the anti-Torah people, not even the secular people but the kofrim like the Slifkins of the world they say 'Well, if you can't handle the test of being in the army, then maybe your Judaism isn't so strong to begin with,' literally turning everything on its head. We're not allowed to put ourselves on purpose into the teeth of the dragon and say, 'let's go wrestle angels like Yaakov and we'll see if you're able to overpower the angel. If God gives you a test then hopefully you'll be able to pass the test. But to purposely put yourself into a dangerous place like that, and I mean spiritually dangerous, we're not allowed to do it. And especially when it's overwhelmingly dangerous. And we know that many people aren't going to be able to hold up to the test. It's not because they're weak, it's because they have no business being there. OK, ordinary people are not going to be able to hold up. Everybody has a breaking point. Just like with torture. Everybody has a breaking point. It doesn’t mean that you’re a weak person because they broke you. Everybody can be broken. And therefore, there’s no business of a frum Jew being in an army that exists on purpose to attack their Judaism. There’s this fig leaf. ‘Oh, we have a Charedi unit. We’ll have a rabbi. We’ll eat glatt kosher food.’ Nonsense. They don’t take care of them. They run roughshod over all of them. And these people once they’re in the army, they have no recourse. There’s nothing they’re able to do. The army owns them. And that’s why they give it up, because once they break you, they break you. Once they’re forced to violate Shabbos for the first time, they feel sick, and they feel guilty, but they’ve already done it. And then they do it again. And a lot of them just buy into the kefira at some point. They’re brainwashed like in a Chinese camp. They’re just brainwashed 24/7, and some people don’t know so much to begin with. So, they’re brainwashed. There are many reasons why they give it up. But the point is that no good Jewish boy or girl has any business being there. They’re not keeping the Jewish people safe.
