"How can Jews act like that?" You'll find yourself asking that question repeatedly in Israel. After all, you never saw a Jew punch another in the eye, leaving a huge black and blue welt. Who was the victim, a mild mannered Yekke from Washington Heights. I know the man and saw the welt. Who was the puncher, an Israeli who decided in his deranged mind that this older man had looked at his girlfriend for a second.
You probably never saw Jews working as policeman before. But you also never saw a Jewish policeman swinging his club wildly at Haredi men who got out of a bus en route to a protest which historically has been quite sedate and brief. You may never have seen policemen not order the crowd to disperse before making arrests. Here, the police just start beating people, randomly. They also beat many people that they arrest, even if only because, as in one case, a neighbor called to say that an eighteen year old man married a seventeen year old young woman. The result: immediate arrest, hog tying, and beating. A friend of mine was choked by a policeman. His crime, he went to put out a fire in a garbage can. You ever see Jews act like that?
Have you ever seen Jews shove you off of the sidewalk or just barrel over you as you walk down the sidewalk? Maybe it's happened once or twice. Here, nearly every Israeli Jew acts like that, all except the most religious. Even many of the women do it. They don't budge, they don't pull in their shoulder to make room.
Have religious Jews shouted profanity at you? Have they thrown children out of school because a father took out the garbage in his t-shirt? Have they called the police because your rent is a day late? Maybe you have seen it, but here it goes on all the time.
Have you ever seen a Jew take his spoon, stick it in the public cholent and then in his mouth and then back in the cholent to get a another bite? I have observed this here many times.
Has a Jewish bus driver kicked you and your children off the bus at midnight with a mile to go in his route because he didn't feel like finishing it? That happened to me and to a friend of mine with an entirely different driver.
Would a Jewish bus driver in chutz refuse to allow a young woman off a bus, even though she need to relieve herself in a rest room, such that she urinated all over herself on the bus? A friend of mine witnessed that happening here.
Do Jews who run chedarim in chutz yank children by their ears, lock them outside the building if they say they want to go home, shake their fists at them while declaring "I want to beat them all"? Do they line up four year olds and say, "They will be soldiers!" Do they declare, "They must learn who's boss!"
Do Jewish contractors raid a shul declaring "I want my money!" as horrified children shake during motzei Shabbos at Maariv? This happened at my shul. Do they charge into a shul on Shabbos because the noise of davening disturbs their sleep and turn over every shtender as they threaten with shouts to beat every person in the shul? This happened to a shul near me as witnessed by my friend.
Would a Jewish hotel clerk in chutz refuse to rent a room to a father with small children at midnight and send them wandering into the city in the dark? This happened to me.
How about when you learn that a high percentage of scam operations are based in Israel? Will that leave you asking the question?
How about when you start to take notice of all the reports of Israeli tourists causing trouble in Thailand, Cyprus, Japan and wherever they go. They includes allegations of rape as well as criminal convictions.
How about when you take notice of the country's politicians and their rants, threats, boasting, howling, screaming, and raging? You try to compare to Senators Joseph Lieberman and Jacob Javits. You shake your head in disbelief.
You want to hear more? I won't even talk about the military. You can read about that on your own.
Many olim lose their faith in Israel. It's a known thing that people struggle to separate Jews from Judaism, so when you come to Israel and see Jews acting like animals that you can lose your faith. Be careful now and be even more careful with your children.
