Daily dose of hostility to Haredim

They say Haaretz has the best journalism in Israel. Here's their journalism:

That's what you call a biased headline. Desertion means abandoning the army in a time of war. There's no war here, there's just chiloni obsession with bombing the everything that moves. The same newspaper speaks with outrage on how the IDF has destroyed or made uninhabitable 70% of the buildings in Gaza. The same paper tells us of all the military deaths and casualties. But it can't understand why Haredim want no part of this. And it doesn't even try to understand why Haredim feel that a secular army will destroy Haredi youth.

My neighbor has a son who couldn't take all the pressure and threats to join the army so he joined. They promised him that he'd be on a desk job with Haredim. They put him in a room of young chiloni women in skin tight pants. He is losing his mind from this. He had never ever spoken to young women before.

I hear stories like this all time. Netan. promises to make the army such that Haredim will leave as Haredim, but the promises are broken constantly. The army is run by secularists. And armies are dictatorships. They promise Lubavitchers that they can take daily mikvahs and then break the promise. They promise male only units and break the promise. They force young men into tight spaces with young women. They promise units that are run by Haredi commanders and then subject all the soldiers to propaganda about how God abandoned us in the Holocaust and now we are saving ourselves. This is heresy. There are good reasons for Haredim to stay away from the army. But the secularists never consider them. They only condemn, which is what they do to anybody who differs from them in anything.

You want to subject yourself to this? You live in a nice, safe, affluent country. That's not good enough? Can't you see a bracha when you have one? Don't be tricked by spoiled brats who don't appreciate what HaShem gives them. They want geulah now, and they pretend that it's here. Talk about feelings of entitlement.
