There are 3 international airports currently operational in Israel, all managed by the Israel Airports Authority. These include Ben Gurion Airport (the main international gateway), Ramon Airport (the second largest), and one other international facility.1 2 3

In total, Israel has 17 civilian airports, which includes the 3 international airports as well as 14 domestic facilities.2 Other sources count the total number of airports differently - some list 10 airports,4 others 15,5 and one source indicates there are 28 airports as of April 2026.6

Additionally, there are about 14 other airstrips across Israel and the Golan Heights that are mostly used for private purposes or flight training.1 7 Two other airports managed by the Israel Airports Authority have no scheduled flights.1 7
