A leading candidate for Prime Minister of Israel sounds a lot like you know who.
"Listen, this is national suicide in slow motion. We are simply committing suicide and the next term is our last window of opportunity to save the State of Israel. This is it. Now or never. Because if we don't dismantle the anti-Zionist Haredi state we will lose the Zionist state."
Listen for yourself:
Incredible that he thinks the biggest problem Israel faces is Haredim, not economic woes, not crime, not immorality, not health, not the environment, not the budget, not security concerns, not corruption. No, Haredim.
At least he's admitting that the goal of military conscription is to destroy Haredi life.
Bennett is not fringe. He's in second place among the opposition candidates. Of course, the front runner among the opposition is a military man because militarism is the religion of the state of israel.
- Gadi Eisenkot (Yashar!) — The breakout story. A former IDF chief of staff and war-cabinet member who quit in 2024 and launched his own party in 2025. He has surged to first place in several recent polls (23 seats in both the KAN and Channel 12 surveys), making him the leading challenger to Netanyahu — though he's new to the political game.
- Naftali Bennett (B'Yachad / "Together") — A former prime minister who led the opposition in early polling, then slipped after merging his list with Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid in April 2026. Now polling around 12 seats and competing for second place.
- Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid) — The outgoing opposition leader, now second fiddle on the Bennett-led joint list.
You know those people who say America is like Germany in 1938. It's the opposite. The state of israel is like Germany in 1938.
